I’m 3 classes & 1 exam away from spring break, you guys.
Senioritis has hit me hard this semester. If you don’t know what senioritis is, it is basically the lack of motivation that students have when they’re about to graduate. I need a break from my own laziness.
Last spring break, I had the opportunity to go on an alternative spring break trip to South Carolina. There, my team and I were on a service trip promoting health care and preventing childhood obesity. I wrote about it last year, if you want to check it out here.
Alternative Break trips are on my list of some of the greatest things I’ve accomplished in my young life. I applied again back in September for this year’s spring break trip and was accepted to go to Atlanta for a socioeconomic equity service trip. Unfortunately, I have a work obligation so I had to decline 😦
I highly recommend applying for Alternative Breaks. It is a different way to spend your winter, spring, or summer break. You get to help others in communities you otherwise wouldn’t have thought to visit.
Even though applications are closed for this year, they open back up in September so mark your calendars and find your calling on their website: Alternative Breaks.
Other bloggers have been on trips too! Check out their posts to learn more.
