After a day of feasting and giving thanks, two days of finding deals and frantic shopping, it is time to give back.
Giving Tuesday is a global day for gratitude and reflection. We hope to celebrate generosity, give back, and support the organizations making a difference in your community.
This Tuesday, December 1st, I’ve decided to donate to Mercy Health Clinic. This is a non-profit organization that provides quality health care for uninsured, low-income residents of Montgomery County.
As a student taking HLSA300, or Introduction to Health Policy and Services, I understand that there are still many people left uninsured despite the enactment of the Affordable Care Act. And as someone who has spent their entire life in Montgomery County, I truly appreciate the work that Mercy Health Clinic does to help those who can’t afford the health services that they need.

I hope that you will join me on Giving Tuesday to give back, show some love, and pay it forward.
