Read at least 5 books

Okay, this might be boring for some of you, but as a long-time fan of reading, I’m determined to complete my Goodreads challenge of finishing 50 books by the end of the year. Lately I haven’t had the chance to delve into a good book, which has put me in quite a slump. However, I’ve heard that some of my anticipated reads will be released over the summer, so I’m hyped to dive into them.

Visit new museums

As someone who is relatively close to D.C., I have always visited the same two museums throughout my lifetime. And at one point, it didn’t appeal to me the way it used to. Last summer, my cousin went on a little day trip to visit the numerous museums around the location, and she had a lot of positive things to say about them. I would love to follow her example and visit those museums. I feel like it would be an insightful experience.

Host a barbecue party with friends

At a point where a lot of my friends will be venturing out to their own goals and aspirations in the fall, I want to take advantage of the summer and ensure that we have one last hurrah before everyone does their own things. As seniors, we know that this will probably be the last time we can experience the college life together, so having a barbecue potluck party would be a fun way to make some memories.

Attend a music festival

This is mostly for myself, but I’ve never been to a music festival before, and I think it would be an electrifying experience. Tackling this alone feels like a risk, but like I mentioned before, I definitely want to make room for new things, and this could be fun either way. I have always been a music enthusiast, so I think immersing myself in different sounds and crowds can be really unforgettable.

Visit a farmer’s market

I did an assignment on the importance of incorporating a farmer’s market in a plan to reduce food insecurity for students and have since then wanted to go to one. The last time I visited a farmer’s market was probably when I was younger. I have no recollection of it, but I feel that as an adult I would be able to appreciate the experience a lot better.
