Sad to say Thanksgiving break is now over! Back to reality, and the final weeks of the semester. I don’t know about you, but I pretty much ate my weight in mashed potatoes these last few days. Thanksgiving is seriously the best– food, family, did I mention food?
That’s why I’m taking my lil butt to the Campus Recreation Center. If you haven’t been yet, it’s on the 2nd floor of the Camille Kendall Academic Center (above the Green Grove Cafe). It’s super easy to fit a quick, and satisfying workout into your schedule with a gym located right on campus.
The rec center on campus has more than enough equipment to help you achieve whatever fitness goals you may have. Ellipticals, treadmills, bikes, medicine balls, dumbbells– you can’t really ask for more. Newbie to gym rat, there’s enough for everyone.
Starting the week off with some cardio, and strength training gets me pumped to handle upcoming finals, and recover from stuffing my face all break.
Here’s an awesome example:
POST-THANKSGIVING WORKOUT: 15-MINUTE FULL-BODY DUMBBELL WORKOUT!
I’m already sweating just reading this! 🙂
If you’re not in the mood to lift, try attending one of the group classes offered in the rec room. There’s yoga classes every Wednesday from 2:30 – 3:30, and Zumba classes every Tuesday from 5:00 – 6:00.
I know I’ll be there on Wednesday getting my Namaste on after this much needed workout! Hope to see some of you there, too!
