Hi everyone – My name is Kate Allison and I use she/they pronouns.

I’m currently in the third semester of my Master’s of Industrial/Organizational Psychology program, from UMBC at USG. I received my Bachelor’s in Psychology from UMBC Main Campus in 2019 with two minors in applied linguistics and music because I can’t help but invest myself in multiple subjects at once. During my undergraduate career I was deeply involved in clubs and on-campus jobs, including campus tour guide, peer career advisor, and member of the Musical Theater Club. Once the pandemic started in earnest, I decided to go back to school and was lucky enough to become the graduate assistant for my program. As the graduate assistant, I provide administrative help and academic advising services for undergraduate psychology students at UMBC-Shady Grove. To be a student is more stressful now than ever, so I am honored to be able to offer assistance to undergraduate students using my prior knowledge and experience.

Outside of school and work, I have a deep passion for music and theatre, which has been sadly missing from my life due to the pandemic (although you can still catch me singing my heart out in the car/shower/kitchen). I also love crocheting and walking in nature. I’ve lived in Central Maryland my whole life, and currently live in Baltimore City with roommates and Frida the cat.
