I am in my last year of my Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Public Health Practice and Policy from University of Maryland, College Park (UMCP) at the Universities at Shady Grove (USG). I also work for the Public Health Science Undergraduate Program, which I received my Bachelor’s degree from. I am also the Editor of the USG Public Health Connection newsletter.
I am very passionate about global and environmental health, community development, human rights, and volunteering. I love to travel and learn about different cultures too. That’s why my favorite pastime is to go on mission trips with my youth group on weekends and go on Alternative Breaks or Short Term Study Abroad trips in winter, spring, or summer breaks.
I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My hobbies include trying new food or recipes, learning languages, reading, kayaking, camping, binge watching Netflix or Korean Dramas, and doing karaoke (although I am quite terrible at it).
I love being a USG student blogger because I have the wonderful opportunity to share my experiences and interests with current and prospective students. I would not be able to do the things I do without the help from these wonderful people from UMCP and USG campuses!
Come along with me on my journey of going from an undergrad student to a grad student, making the most of college, being involved on both campuses, sharing interesting tidbits, exploring new found treasures, and being on this rollercoaster ride called life.
